Application Instructions


DMACC offers the opportunity for high school students to enroll in credit courses as self-paid. Students must meet all necessary prerequisites for college level courses.
Juniors and Seniors: Complete steps 1 and 2 below.
Freshmen and Sophomores: Complete steps 1, 2, 3 and 4. Freshman/Sophomores are limited to no more than two credit courses each semester and must remain part-time students.

  1. Submit a completed Application for Admission you will select: Non-Degree Seeking, Liberal Arts program on the application.
    • Create a log-in for the online application (this is not the same as the log in for myDMACC and/or Blackboard). This log-in is necessary to gain access to the application for Admission.
    • Recommended browsers include Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
  2. After the student receives confirmation of acceptance to DMACC, submit the electronic DMACC High School Permission Form
  3. Complete Next-Generation ACCUPLACER® Test and ALEKS math placement assessment or submit ACT scores. Course placement is mandatory based on assessment scores.
  4. Freshman and sophomores are required to meet with a DMACC academic advisor prior to registration.
    • After HS graduation, the student could apply to a specific degree seeking program at DMACC or apply as a DMACC guest student, if attending a different institution toward a degree.
